Calling on all Passholders.
If you are a club member and an Advanced Rider Passholder your club needs your support.
We are looking for committed members to help with Planning, Leading and Sweeping on our monthly training rides.
If you are a pass holder with a Bronze, Silver or Gold and would like to take the next step and train to be a ride leader/sweeper then either register your interest here or message me at – email@example.com
We are looking at running a training session on a Saturday Surgery followed up with a ride lead and sweep on the job training for a leg on an end of month ride.
Planning, Leading and Sweeping for the rides is a great way to progress and helps develop new skills so please register your interest.
Happy and Safe Riding

Once you have passed your test, Leading and sweeping is the next stage in your progression as an Advanced Rider. It adds that little extra dimension for you to think about which engages the brain a bit more. Don’t worry if after training you get things wrong on your first time in the role as the group are there to help you. As we say, everyday is a training day. So if you have not done either then have a go.30th July 2019 at 5:02 pm #1526Stan HathawayParticipant
I’d like to add to Dave Slocombe’s post by saying do not worry about either getting lost on your own ride out, or losing some of your riders – we have all doe it at some point. Leading does take additional thinking power and preparation, but is extremely satisfying when you pull it off. Sweeping has its own challenges as you are constantly looking behind to see what impact you are causing. Again, a well prepared plan works wonders.
