Joining is easy, but how does it work

Becoming a member of DSAR and RoSPA is straight forward. There are several options open to you as a joining member, the options are described below. We welcome riders of all skill levels and the focus of the group is to increase your safety and reduce your vulnerability to a collision.

Membership options.

Web Only Membership.  Cost FREE

This gives you access to most of our website, you can get access to the main areas of our forum and some of the Advanced Riders material available to view or download. This is a good option if you want to read a little more about advanced riding and what it's all about. You can also subscribe to our mailing lists and have newsletters and regular club updates delivered to you by email, you can of course unsubscribe at any time.

Enhanced Web Membership.  Cost £10.00 per Year

This gives you access to more content on the website and additional resources in the forum, for example the For Sale and Wanted sections together with more detailed downloadable content about riding You are are also able upload articles and information to be published on our site. You are also welcome along to any of the non-riding social events that we plan.

Associate Membership.  Cost £20.00 per Year

This is the first level if you are serious about training but not sure if you want to take the RoSPA Advanced Riding test. As an associate member you receive all the benefits of the above plan. You are now on the training ladder, once your membership has been processed our training co-ordinator will contact you to arrange a short ride with you to discuss your needs and formulate a plan for your training. You are welcome to come along to any of the training events, lectures or suitable social rides during your training and you will get the benefit of one to one training from our Tutors. There is an additional cost of £10.00 per session with your tutor, this is merely to help cover the fuel and wear and tear on your tutors machine, indeed as your skill increases you will be surprised at the mileages you cover during a session. Once you are ready and if you want to you can apply for your advanced riding test, the cost for this is currently £54.00 which includes your first years membership of RoSPA.

DSAR Full Training Package  Cost £145.00 one off fee  After 12 months £20.00 per Year

This is the full package, the cost includes the first year or group membership (£20.00), your RoSPA test fee and first year membership, which only starts when you are ready for your test (£54.00), A copy of Roadcraft and the Highway code (£15.50) and your first six Tutor Sessions (£60.00). This is a fixed cost for your training and presentation for your test. If you require more than 6 sessions we will provide these free of charge.(Retest fee not included if the unthinkable happens).

You will also receive a free DSAR email address to use as long as you are a member

Full Cost is £149.50 Special Offer Price of £145.00

We also have a Junior membership available for 17-20 year olds this costs £10.00 per year but is subject to some criteria and if you are interested please contact our Training Co-Ordinator for more details.

Serving and Retired Police Riders are also welcome to join on an Honorary Basis, please contact our Secretary for more details.
